Job Duties: Install and configure Windows/Unix servers and related systems; assist business users and Wintel/Unix engineers with setup and installation. Perform physical install of servers and network switches including rack/stack/cabling/labeling and configuring in Datacenters. Perform day to day operations on HCI VxRail/vSAN devices including working on networking, patching, and storage. Perform operations of Windows, Storage, and VMware infrastructure. Responsible for end-to-end server administration activities including implementing infrastructure, performing maintenance, providing technical support, creating and maintaining documentation. Responsible for implementing vSphere 7/6.7 environment and migrate data from legacy hardware to VxRail environment using various tools including Cross vCenter Migration Utility. Perform day-to-day operations of Windows, Storage, and VMware infrastructure. Implement SCG in multiple clients to manage all client infrastructure. Rack and configure Dell Power Switch N, Z and S series switches as per the requirement.
Install and upgrading the OS10. Rack the servers, perform RASR upgrade and post implementation changes for VxRail on Dell PowerEdge servers. Managing the PowerEdge servers from iDRAC. Design and implement multiple VMware VSAN on VxRail nodes for the customer across multiple DC’s. Deploy Open Manage Enterprise virtual appliance on planned host and configure the OME instance’s network interfaces using the provided IP address. Manage multiple hosts using ProDeploy Toolkit including updating server Firmware, BIOS and iDRAC configuration, deploying vSphere, Windows and discover devices.
Work Location: Various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required. Must be willing to relocate.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor – Computer Science or Computer Engineering (will accept foreign education equivalent)
Experience: Five (5) years
