QA Consultant – Duties
Responsible for writing and executing test cases, mapping test cases to requirements, conducting peer review of test suite, opening and tracking defects and issues, closing testing activities related to complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology
Work with business users to gain sign off.
Involved in the development of test plans for highly complex projects
Review Test results and follow defect management process
Ability to work with cross functional teams
Provide daily status to Test Lead
Monitors all testing related activities and related project risks and issues and manages their resolution and impact.
Effectively work in a collaborative environment
Efficiently work with leadership, analysts, dev team and business team on an ongoing basis
Required Skills:
Experience of Facets
Strong SQL experience
Performance testing, Functional Testing, and Reports Testing
Rational Tools Suite, Clear Quest preferred
Minimum 5 years of work experience in the following areas:
Health Insurance industry experience required.
Experience delivering complex enterprise application systems, distributed systems
Testing and Quality Assurance processes and techniques
Work Location: various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required. Must be willing to relocate.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor – Computer Science or Engineering (will accept foreign education equivalent)
Experience: Five (5) years
